Reston, Virginia and Peabody, Massachusetts - (via THE HOSTING NEWS) - August 17, 2005 - XO Communications, Inc. and NEXL Network Systems have announced an alliance which will offer businesses managed hosting solutions, from the network through to the managed application level.

The two companies will offer solutions that leverage XO data centers and IP network infrastructure and NEXL's leadership in delivering complete managed infrastructure computing services. Under a multi-year agreement, XO and NEXL will co-market and sell each other's services through XO direct and indirect sales channels and NEXL's direct sales force.

Under the arrangement, NEXL becomes the provider of complex managed services to XO managed hosting customers, and XO becomes a preferred provider of data center and network services to NEXL customers. XO and NEXL will jointly deliver end-to-end managed hosting solutions leveraging XO data centers and Tier 1 OC-192 national IP network and NEXL's complete range of infrastructure computing services. The companies will offer these solutions to new customers that want to outsource the hosting and management of their web-based applications.

Customers will be hosted within secure and fully redundant XO data centers, which are directly connected to the XO IP network. NEXL will design, implement and manage the solutions, delivering a wide range of managed application, security, and storage services.
